The Pete Rimmel 4th Annual Picnic,
sponsored by the DCARC
Reprint from WB4BAG group.io post.

Here's the first report on the picnic.

We had 23 attendees at Tree Tops Park and the weather was great!

Setup was easy, and we brought a gas grill.  Tony W6TNY did all the grilling (plus brought some of the food).  Phil K4OMD and Elza prepared all the main dishes and desert.  Drinks and ice were supplied by George N8XH.  In addition, we had many members lend a hand with setup and breakdown.

After the meal, we held a Fox Hunt with two separate transmitters with two prizes awarded.  Several participants mentioned it was a lot of fun and Phil thought a broader (maybe county-wide) Fox Hunt would be worth setting up.  We'd have to obtain (or build) a multi-watt "Fox" instead of the 15 milliwatt units we now have available.  The prizes yesterday were gift certificates to DX Engineering.

As a finale, we had the drawings for door prizes.  All were new and donated to the club for the door prizes: a portable AM/FM SW receiver, four aluminum equipment cases, and a large waterproof "pelican-type" case.

Several members took pictures.

How about posting them here?

Yikes, I almost forgot!

In addition to all the other prizes, we had a 50/50 drawing and it was won (and donated back to the club) by Heather KM4TMR.
